HOW I LOST TO MMM

A friend introduced me to the scheme, I was told to start with 20k but I like to do things on a large scale so I started with 100k, and gradually proceeded to 200k and then 500k.

Hehehe! I’m a risk taker when it comes to money but  thread carefully in other aspects of life. The idea of instant profit was appealing, I was making small small money fast! And that was the beauty of it. It was a game to me and I knew it would end one day, so I kept my ears on the ground, alert to the possibility of it crashing anytime. December 2016 was predicted! I quickly took out all of my money in the MMM united scheme. I must have made a total of N400k or so from it. The I heard about MMM United, this one offered 100% return. I put in 1 million…(money for my car) in December, for some reason I never made the connection that if MMM Nigeria crashed it would affect MMM United and so I lost that. Following the crash, several other sites sprung up and in the bid to restore lost money, I lost more.

I didn’t die but I learnt a valuable lesson; just like a balloon, If there’s no substance in it, just one poke and it’s destroyed. I still dabble in risky investments o but I study the market, ask questions and know when to pull out but most importantly I don’t put in ALL of my life saving.

Did you participate in the scheme?

Did the experience teach you anything?
