FOUR USEFUL LIFE TIPS I GLEANED FROM A MOVIE

Queen of Katwe is just one movie with so many lessons; struggles of life, a mother’s love, pain. It opens you up to the fact that if you have a roof over your head and three square meals, you are privileged, you begin to realize that this life is what you make of it.

1. You can either let your present situation determine your future or you can chose to take steps to change that situation because at the end of the day, It’s all in the mind. Our mind is a powerful that can either spur us to action or otherwise, it’s always up to us to be wary of what we allow into it, to protect it at all cost as well as sieve information on a daily basis. Only then can we change, grow or retain our situations.

2.I learnt to never be so quick to tip my king, I must never surrender, If I lose, I must make sure it teaches me how to play better. Every failure is an opportunity to learn. Someone once said, “there are no failures, just lessons”, so always ensure you pick up a lesson from every experience, whether good or bad.

3.So many times the place you are used to is not where you belong so don’t be afraid to soar! When a bird is released from it’s cage, sometimes it’s afraid to leave because it’s never experienced such freedom, it’s uncertain what awaits it so be curious, live, explore the uncharted areas and create your own path.

4.Your mind can choose to conceive a lot or a little, you can either take a step of faith into greatness today or relax and enjoy the warm embrace of mediocrity. Greatness awaits those who leave their comfort zone.

It’s your choice, in life you are always choosing.
